Each kit contains enough wheelbands for all 4 wheels and can be installed at home in under an hour. There is no need to remove the wheel or deflate the tyre, the wheelbands simply apply to your rims. NOTES: RimPro-Tec® Wheelbands are designed to fit any wheel that has a continuous flat mounting surface of approximately 4–5 mm (about 1/4 inch) along the outer edge of the rim.
This flat edge allows for secure bonding and proper seating of the Wheelbands track. Please see below fitment guide section. Before ordering or installing, please check your wheels to confirm that the rim design includes this mounting area.
⚠️ Some wheel designs may have deep contours, sharp tapers, or interruptions along the rim edge that reduce flat mounting area. In those cases, fitment may not be optimal.
Installation time for RimPro-Tec Wheel Bands varies based on wheel design, wheel size and experience level of the person doing the work.
The wheelbands are a simple product to install yourself, with a first time do-it-yourself installation taking 40 minutes to an hour for a set of four wheels.
A person who has installed Wheel Bands on several cars can do an installation on a set of four wheels in 20 to 30 minutes. Color inserts can be swapped out in seconds to change color or repair light scuffing.
