The insulated "Duraseal" crimp connectors have an adhesive-covered shrinkable nylon cap that can be used to create a watertight connection between the wire and the contact. To do this heat the nylon cap to approx. 135°C with a heat gun (or other heat source). At this temperature the cap material encloses the pipe with a firm grip. Other insulation solutions (e.g. heat shrink tubing or insulating tape) can thus be dispensed with. Identification colour red: Crimp connector for cable cross-section 0.5 - 1 mm². Identification colour blue: Crimp connector for cable cross-section 1.5 - 2.5 mm². Identification colour yellow: Crimp connector for cable cross-section 4 - 6 mm².
